New Delhi. Soon people can enjoy the opportunity to buy luxury flats in bollywood’s showman Raj Kapoor’s 70 year old R.K. Studio. ‘Godrej Property’ the real estate company who won the auction of R.K. Studio, happened last year has decided to convert it into luxurious flats.
Located at Mumbai’s Chembur Colony and spreaded in 2.2 acres, Godrej Property has now changed this studio into 3bhk and 4bhk flats for which advance bookings has been already opened by them. The initial prices will be between 6.9 crores to 10.9 crores for 3bhk and 4bhk flats, respectively.
In an interview actor Rishi Kapoor told to the Mumbai Mirror that even after the renovation of the studio, the expenditures done on it weren’t getting fulfilled, also the studio has seen many ups and downs. Blockbuster movies like ‘Mera Naam Joker’, ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’, ‘Bobby’, ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’, were filmed here. After the showman’s demise the Kapoor family was handling the whole responsibility and as before going his last words motivated millions that “The Show Must Go On”.
