Deepika Padukone reached JNU to support Students

New Delhi. On Tuesday evening, Actor Deepika Padukone has joined students, teachers and alumni around the country who are continuing to demonstrate against Sunday night’s attack on Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi. 34 students and teachers were injured in the violence.

She came here to support JNU student union chief Aishe Ghosh and marked her presence silently without any violence, giving the message that “Unity is Strength”. She suddenly joined the protest at 7:45 p.m. and stayed for 10 to 15 minutes with the students. CPIM General Sakatar Staram Yechuri and Indian communist party’s member D. Raja was also present at the moment. Right now Deepika is busy in promoting her upcoming movie ‘Chhapaak’.
