Coronavirus is affecting every working class. There are 400 dentists in Jalandhar City ; 200 within the city and others in rural areas . Dentists are facing many problems.
Dr. Amardeep Singh had discussed about the problems with Punjabi Bulletin. He said – During Unlock-1 , dental clinics are still closed. Government believes that virus can spread more from these clinics. Since 2.5 months, clinics are closed and many problems are occurring. Electricity bills , bank payments and rents are need to be paid every month. Dentists are getting mentally ill because of this expenditure. This is believed that , dentists will take too much for returning back to normal work.
Cost can get high for dental treatment
Dr. Amandeep Singh who runs his clinic in Rama Mandi said after corona is over , the cost of the dental treatment can get high.
Mostly dental equipments were imported from China but due to corona , import is closed .For the treatment, Equipment’s cost is really high and it cannot be afforded now.
Dentists expectations from the Government
Government have provided many relief and funds. Dentists are waiting for their turn now. Dr. Amandeep says Government should help dentists too. While making guidelines , government should consider dentists, so that they can tell their problems too.
