Jalandhar | An event under UJWAL BHARAT UJWAL BHAVISH in district Jalandhar was held today at the conference hall of CT College Jalandhar. 

The joint event was organized by PSPCL, SJVNL, and Punjab Government under the direction of the Ministry of Power. 

This function was presided by Raman Arora, MLA Central Jalandhar. Er. Davinder Kumar Sharma, CE /North PSPCL Jalandhar and Shri VPS Bajwa, ADC Jalandhar along with large number of villagers from suburb of Jalandhar and industrial consumers were also present on the occasion. 

The cultural events which included a Nukad Natak and a Choreography on Power Saving and Power Theft was presented by the students of Government High School and Government Primary School, Kang Sabu under the guidance of Jagriti Club, Jalandhar. 6 no. documentary films highlighting the progress of power sector in India and Punjab were also screened at the event.

 The Chief guest of the event Raman Arora, MLA Central, Jalandhar in his speech encouraged the consumers to save electricity and also made an appeal to the Government of India for providing necessary financial assistance in order to speed up power reforms in Punjab.

Er. Davinder Kumar Sharma, Chief Engineer North Zone Jalandhar advised the public to adopt the production of household solar energy through roof top solar plants to achieve the target of generation of clean and green electricity. 

 Varinderpal Singh Bajwa, ADC Jalandhar also appreciated the services being provided by PSPCL and also advised people to save electricity. The highlight of the event was a Gidha Show presented by the kids of Somerset International School, Jalandhar which was appreciated by all.

At the end of the event Er. Inderpal Singh, Dy CE PSPCL Jalandhar Circle thanked all the participants and guests and assured the public that PSPCL will try to fulfill all the expectations of its consumers. 

Pintu Das, DGM SJVNL and all Additional Superintendent Engineers of Jalandhar, Er. Jaspal Singh, Er. Davinder Pal Singh, Er. Sunny Bhagra, Er. Avtar Singh, Er. Rajinder Singh and Er. Rajesh Kumar were present in the event with full enthusiasm.
